RICCA connotes a swahili word that means "identities formed over shared experiences within an age group" We are a child centric Not for profit organisation that is on a mission to radicalize quality education.
WE FACILITATE INCLUSIVE CHILD FRIENDLY LEARNING SPACES
A key part of our work is the “Elimu Vijiji (Education in the village) Ricca Fellowship Program,” which trains teachers in effective, child-centered teaching methods. By helping teachers learn the best ways to teach, we can keep kids engaged and reduce the number who drop out of school.
The target is to instill skills in child friendly teaching approaches in the classroom that involves learner-focused approach to education that prepares students for life. We aim to create a school environment that is safe and supportive, with quality teachers who are receiving professional development, balanced curriculum, and that teachers engage learners thus achieving holistic education that instills values, and students are able to develop skills & abilities to realize their dreams.

Our initiatives tackles the root causes of educational deprivation by establishing safe, conducive learning environments. We believe in nurturing children’s potential by providing them with not only education but also a supportive atmosphere where they feel welcomed and encouraged to dream. By addressing overcrowding and resource inadequacies, we aim to ensure that every child, regardless of their socioeconomic background, receives the quality education they deserve. Through our efforts, we strive to empower the next generation with the tools and opportunities necessary to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.”

We target to offer basic infrastructure support focusing on digital literacy, climate change initiatives, hygiene and sanitation in public primary schools.

We work with pre primary, primary and Junior Secondary school teachers supporting them with training on effective, child-centered teaching methods. By supporting teachers with tools and resources to teach effectively, we can keep kids engaged, connected, enjoying learning and create inclusive, deeply meaningful education thus address school drop out.
